Apple has finally launched a mid-range smartphone for the masses, the new iPhone SE 2020. Its previous version came way back in 2016, and this is a refreshing new update in the Apple lineup. Compared to its Android counterparts, it lacks a few essential features for the price but carries on the legacy of the iPhone 8 design.
iPhone SE 2 Features and Specifications
iPhone SE 2020 is similar in shape and size with the iPhone 8. It has a 4.7-inch display with 1334×750 pixel resolution. It uses a similar Retina HD display tech and doesn’t deliver the usual FULL HD resolution at this price. iPhone SE 2020 is still IP67 dust/water-resistant, so the build looks solid on paper.
Before mentioning what the iPhone SE 2020 lacks, let’s point out its strengths. The best feature in the iPhone SE 2 is the new Apple A13 Bionic chip which boasts high performance as already seen in the new iPhone 11 phone series. Apple’s chipset is very powerful, and its the first time we’re seeing this performance from Apple at the price tag of $399. It also comes along with 3GB RAM and a max storage option of 256GB.
iPhone SE 2020 camera consists of a single camera at the back with 12MP resolution and f/1.8 aperture. It supports OIS in the video as well, and if the camera is on par with Apple flagships, the new iPhone SE will be worthwhile. At the dated front bezel at the top, we have a 7MP/f2.2 camera for selfies. iPhone SE 2 main camera even records 4K resolution video at 60fps frame rate.
iPhone SE 2020 is Different.
It is different from the iPhone X gen phones with top notches in terms of design as well as price. There is a lot to love in iPhone SE 2020, but some specs also manage to disappoint. It only has 1821mAH battery capacity, so it won’t last very long despite any software optimizations.
iPhone SE 2020 Price and Colors
It is set to release on April 24 with the following color options: Black, Green, Yellow, Purple, Red, and White. iPhone SE 2020 price is set at $399 for the 64GB variant. The 128GB and 256GB variant costs $449 and $549 in international markets. As for Nepal, the iPhone SE price is likely to cross Nrs. 50,000 as usual.
