The Gionee S11 Lite packs a 5.7 inch HD (720*1440) IPS display with an 18:9 near bezel-less design. The display comes pixel-packed at 282PPI with a 2.5D glass edging it up. Encasing the internals of the phone is a mixture of glass and metal which gives it a premium look and feel. Under the hood, the S11 Lite comes with an octa-core Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 processor along with the Adreno 505 GPU. The processor is backed by 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The memory of the phone can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB. The phone also supports dual-sim cards but only at the expense of the memory card slot.

In the camera side of things, the Gionee S11 Lite packs a dual-camera set up made by a f/2.2 13MP and a 2MP sensor. The phone also has a f/2.0 16MP front camera for all your social media ready selfies. Sensor wise, the S11 packs all the essentials like a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, proximity, and an accelerometer. Moving on, in the software department, the phone runs Amigo UI 5.0 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. And finally powering this device all up is a 3030mAh non-user removable battery. This will be enough to get users a day worth of battery life on a single charge without any issue.

The Gionee S11 Lite looks to be a great mid-tier smartphone that has a lot to offer. The rear dual-camera set up and the glass and metal combo are a welcomed hardware choice. We also love the fact that Gionee is listening to the consumers and using Snapdragon SoC instead of MediaTek. This definitely is a step in the right direction for the Chinese OEM! That said, we would have loved to seen a Full HD display in place of the just 720p panel that it comes with. Nonetheless, the phone is still a great choice for anyone looking for a great sub-26,000 smartphone here in Nepal.
