Honor, a sub-brand of Huawei, is now launching two wearable devices, Honor Band 5 and Honor Watch Magic. The Band 5 price is a third of the Honor Watch Magic price, and both serve different purposes at two different price points. Honor Band 5 and Honor Watch Magic Launch in Nepal is imminent, and the devices will soon be available for purchase in Nepali markets.
Honor Band 5
If you haven’t purchased a smartwatch or band, this one can be your first. It comes at an agreeable price along with a set of premium features like its beautiful AMOLED display. Honor Band 5 is not anything new, and in fact, Xiaomi has offered similar smart bands called Mi Bands. But, now as Honor enters the market, we as consumers have more to choose from.
Honor Band 5 starts strong with its 0.95-inch AMOLED display. The screen has a resolution of 240×120, and the small screen looks crisp and sharp. Users can use the touch screen on Honor Band 5 for using the smart band.
Honor Band 5 is a more fitness-centric wearable compared to its brother, Honor Watch Magic. The band has a heart rate monitor called TruSeen 3.0 Heart Rate Monitor. Other major fitness features on Honor Band 5 are named the same way including a sleep detecting feature, a motion detection feature and even a swim stroke recognition feature. Motion detection can track most of the fitness activities like running or jogging.
Besides the fitness features, the band is also capable of functioning as a simple smartwatch to some degree. It can display Message Reminders and can be used to reject/mute incoming calls without touching the phone. It also has a Phone Finder option along with a Remote Picture Taking feature.
The phone works on both iPhones and Android devices via Bluetooth pairing. It has a 100mAh battery that lasts around 14 days according to Honor.
Honor Band 5 Price in Nepal
The Honor Band 5 price in Nepal is Rs. 4,350. It will be available in two color options: Midnight Navy and Meteorite Black.
Honor Watch Magic
Honor Watch Magic is a more premium offering from Honor. It still costs less than most of its competitors but has a similar design and feature set.
It has a more round watch design compared to the vertical Honor Brand 5. Honor Watch Magic has a 1.2-inch AMOLED touch screen that comes with a circular dial. The 390×390 pixel resolution on the watch has a decent color reproduction and clarity. What puts it apart from the smart band design is the lightweight structure and stainless steel build.
The watch comes with an accurate GPS and is powered by a dual-core chipset. It works with any iPhone or Android devices with a Bluetooth 4.2 LE connection.
In terms of features, Honor Watch Magic can still track fitness activities as good as the band. It has a 6-axis sensor for sports tracking. The watch has 5ATM water resistance, i.e. you can submerge it up to 50 meters underwater if you want to. It has a similar heart-rate monitor and sleep-quality sensor. The watch can also be used for phone notifications, incoming calls, and SMS messages.
Honor Watch Magic Price in Nepal
The Honor Watch Magic price in Nepal is Rs. 15,990. It will be available in Lava Black color which is simply a shiny matte black finish.
