Huawei Mate X is one of the first foldable phones launched this year alongside competitors like Samsung. It was featured on MWC 2019 event at Barcelona alongside many new tech and gadget announcements. Among the crowd, Mate X managed to win the “Best Connected Mobile Device of Mobile World Congress 2019” award, thanks to its innovative design and 5G capabilities.
Huawei Mate X Features and Specs
Huawei Mate X has plenty of new design innovations and screen technology that makes the phone a remarkable piece of tech. Its Falcon Wing Mechanical Hinge is a crucial element that allows its folding capability. This makes the Mate X a seamless foldable phone that offers a large display at a small footprint. It also introduced Huawei’s new 5G communication capability, innovative human-smartphone interaction and HUAWEI SuperCharge during Mobile World Congress 2019.
When Mate X is unfolded into a tablet, it is just 5.4 mm thick that makes it a very slim smartphone. If folded to form a smaller body, the phone measures a respectable 11mm thickness. When unfolded, the screen measures up to 8 inches and emulates a tablet-like display at the pocketable size of a smartphone.
HUAWEI Mate X and P20 Pro
Huawei Mate X uses the Kirin 980 flagship processor from Huawei. The processor powers recent flagships like Mate 20 Pro that also managed to snatch the “Best Smartphone of the year” award on MWC. The phone can’t actually take advantage of the 5G tech for now but is capable of it when the tech develops further in the future.
Mate X is a worthy winner of the prestigious “Best Connected Mobile Device of Mobile World Congress 2019”. It packs the latest features Huawei has at its disposal to make the Mate X the most cutting edge phone of 2019. The phone also packs a 4500mAh high-capacity battery that is easy and faster to charge. An important feature added to the device is the 55W fast charging introduced in the Mate X. This new charging feature is the fastest charging option available on any smartphone.

The device will launch with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage in the midst of 2019. It is, however, still unsure if Huawei Nepal will launch the phone here.
