Huawei has officially unveiled four new products yesterday here in Nepal. The four new products include the Huawei Y9 2019, Huawei Nova 2 Lite, Huawei Y5 Lite, and the Pearl white Huawei Nova 3i. The phones are priced at Rs 34,900, Rs 23,900, Rs 13,900, and Rs 38,900 respectively. So what do these phones have to offer at this price range? Well, let’s find out in this article.
Huawei Y9 2019
The Huawei Y9 (2019) flaunts a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a notch at the top. The IPS LCD display has a resolution of 2340×1080p and pixel density of 396ppi. The 19.5:9 aspect ratio display has 82.8% screen-to-body ratio with an almost bezel-less look.
On the camera front, the smartphone features a dual rear camera setup with a primary 13MP sensor and a secondary 2MP sensor for depth sensing. It also sports a dual camera setup up front, with 16MP primary and 2MP secondary sensors for perfect bokeh shots. Both the camera setups come with some AI-based features like the one we’ve seen on the Nova 3i.
Speaking of which, powering the device is the same 2.2GHz octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 710 that we’ve seen in the Huawei Nova 3i. This amazing chipset comes with AI Power 7.0. The phone comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB.
On the software front, the device runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2. Fueling up the device is a non-user removable 4000mAh battery. The Huawei Y9 (2019) comes with Fingerprint 4.0 identification technology. The company claims that it can unlock the smartphone in 0.3 seconds. The upgraded fingerprint technology also includes fingerprint navigation that enables users to manage all the notifications with one key. The smartphone’s connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS/GLONASS.
Huawei Nova 2 Lite
Huawei Nova 2 Lite packs a 5.99-inch HD IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the phone packs a Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with the Adreno 505 GPU. The processor is backed up 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The memory of the phone can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB.
In the camera department, the Huawei Nova 2 Lite packs a dual-camera set up made by a 13MP and a 2MP lenses. The phone also packs a f/2.0 8MP front camera for all your social media ready selfies. At the software front, the Nova 2 Lite runs EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. And finally powering the device all up is a 3000mAh non-user removable battery.
Huawei Y5 Lite
Huawei Y5 Lite packs a 5.45-inch HD IPS display with the normal 16:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the phone packs a MediaTek MT6737M processor coupled with the Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. The processor is backed up 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The memory of the phone can be further expanded via a micro-sd card.
In the camera department, the Huawei Y5 Lite packs an 8MP rear camera accompanied by an LED flash. The phone also packs a 2MP front camera for all your selfies. At the software front, the Y5 Lite runs Android GO based on Android 8.0 Oreo. Android GO basically is a toned down version of Android suitable for budget smartphones. And finally powering the device all up is a 3000mAh non-user removable battery.
Huawei Nova 3i Pearl White
The Huawei Nova 3i packs a 6.3 inch Full HD (1080 x 2340) IPS display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The infamous notch makes a return residing on the top center of the display. And encasing the internals of the phone is a metal chassis with a glass back.
Under the hood, the Huawei Nova 3i packs an octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 710 processor along with the Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. The processor is backed by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The memory of the phone can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB.
In the camera department, the Huawei Nova 3i follows in the footsteps of its predecessor and packs a quad-camera setup. The phone flaunts a dual rear camera set up combining a 16MP and a 2MP sensor. The phone also packs a dual front-camera set up made by a 24MP and a 2MP sensor. And sitting just below the rear cameras is a fingerprint scanner embedded into the phone’s back panel.
Moving on, at the software front, the Nova 3i runs EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The custom software brings a lot of useful features including the new GPU turbo technology. It is good to see Huawei launching a bunch of smartphones at the different price range. Introducing an Android GO smartphone is another wise choice on Huawei’s part. Huawei Y5 Lite is a great option for anyone looking for an affordable smartphone with a dual camera set up.
