Huawei Technologies has officially launched their flagship smartphone, the Huawei P20 here in Nepal. After almost two months from the international launch, the phone is finally here. The phone among other things packs a killer dual-camera setup that rivals the likes of the Galaxy S9+ and the iPhone X. It also packs a color shifting glass back panel, which is a bit unique to the whole smartphone ecosystem. Including these, here is a look at everything the flagship smartphone from Huawei has to offer for a price of Rs 74,900.
Huawei P20 Overview
The Huawei P20 packs a 5.8-inch Full HD (1080 x 2240) LTPS IPS display with a pixel density of 429PPI. The infamous notch makes its appearance, populating the top center of the phone. And encasing the internals of the device is a glass body with a metal chassis. The phone perfectly blends the glass and metal making for an alluring yet premium device.
Under the hood, the Huawei P20 packs an in-house octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 970 processor along with the Mali-G72 MP12. The silicon on this phone is backed by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone also supports dual-sim cards but no microSD card expansion, this time around.
In the camera department, the P20 packs a Leica branded, rear dual-camera setup made by a 12MP and a 20MP sensor. The secondary 20MP snapper is a monochrome sensor, used to measure depth and enhance shadow details. The phone can also execute a 2X lossless zoom and supports OIS and laser autofocus. The Huawei P20 also has a whopping 24MP front camera for all your social media ready selfies. This, without a doubt, is a great package capable of shooting some amazing looking photos as well as videos.
Moving on, at the software front, the Nova 3e runs EMUI 8.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The phone also packs a rear fingerprint scanner embedded into its home button. And finally powering the device all up is a 3400mAh non-user removable battery. This, without a doubt, will be enough to get users through a day of usage on a single charge. And if the battery does run out, the included Fast charger and USB Type-C cable has always got your back.
