Huawei along with its National distributor, Call Mobility, has launched their latest mid-tier smartphones, the Huawei Y9 2018 and Huawei Y7 Pro 2018. In an event held today at Hotel Himalayan, Huawei took the wraps off their latest devices. The Huawei Y9 2018, a.k.a the Nova 2i Lite, has been priced at Rs 25,900 while the Huawei Y7 Pro 2018 is available for Rs 20,900. Let’s take a quick overview of what each of the two phones has to offer.

About Huawei Y9 2018

The Huawei Y9 2018 packs a 5.93-inch Full HD (1080×2160) IPS display with an 18:9 near bezel-less design. The display is edged out by a 2.5D glass giving the users a seamless experience. Encasing the internals of the phone is a metallic shell which looks and feels premium.

Under the hood, the Y9 2018 sports an octa-core Kirin 659 processor along with the Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. The processor is backed by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The memory of the phone can be further expanded by a micro-sd card up to 256GB. The phone also supports dual sim-cards and is 4G compatible.

In the optics department, the Huawei Y9 2018 packs a quad-camera setup with a pair on each side. At the rear, the device boasts a 16MP+2MP combo with a LED flash holding it all up. The Y9 also has a 13MP+2MP duo at the front for all your social media ready selfies. And sitting just below the rear cameras is a fingerprint scanner embedded into the phone’s back panel. The phone also packs Face unlock for an added layer of security. Moving on, at the software front, the Y9 2018 runs EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. The Huawei Y7 Pro 2018 packs a 5.99-inch HD (1440×720) IPS display with an 18:9 near bezel-less design. The display is edged out by a 2.5D glass giving the users a seamless experience. Encasing the internals of the phone is a metallic shell which looks and feels premium.

Under the hood, the Y7 Pro 2018 sports an octa-core Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 processor along with the Adreno 505 GPU. The processor is backed by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The memory of the phone can be further expanded by a micro-sd card up to 256GB. The phone also supports dual sim-cards and is 4G compatible.
