iQOO U1 with Snapdragon 720G launched, the budget one


iQOO has established as a brand that makes well-designed gaming smartphones. The company has now announced a new 4G smartphone that comes under a budget of just $180. It features a modern design, a large battery, and a new Snapdragon mid-range processor. This phone is the one to keep an eye on if you’re in the market for a decent budget smartphone. iQOO U1 price makes it the cheapest smartphone from iQOO, but the specs are very promising.

iQOO U1 Specifications and Features

The phone features a punch-hole display along with a sleek design. iQOO U1 display is an IPS LCD panel that measures at 6.53-inches. It has a FULL HD+ resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.


iQOO U1 offers a Snapdragon 720G processor along with an Adreno 618 graphics unit. It also comes with 6GB and 8GB RAM options along with 64GB and 128GB storage options. iQOO U1 runs on an Android 10 based iQOO skin.

iQOO U1 cameras include a triple camera setup at the back featuring a 48MP main camera. The secondary cameras include a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP portrait lens. As for the camera hidden inside the punch-hole at the front, it is an 8MP camera sensor for selfies.

It also comes with a 4300 mAh battery along with an 18W fast charging support. The fingerprint scanner is located at the side of the phone instead of the back. iQOO U1 also supports 4G LTE networks unlike other iQOO U1 phones with 5G support.

iQOO U1 Price and Availability

It costs CNY 1,198 ($170) for 6GB/64GB variant. iQOO U1 price for higher end models are: $200 for 6GB/128GB variant and $230 for 8GB/128GB variant. Pre-orders for iQOO U1 has started in for Chinese market. The phone will be available for purchase from July 23.
