Lava has officially launched their latest budget smartphone, the Lava Iris 88 here in Nepal. The phone, among other things, brings a near bezel-less display at an affordable price tag. Including this, here is everything the phone brings to the table for a price of Rs 14,290.
Lava Iris 88 Overview
The Lava Iris 88 packs a 5.45-inch HD+ display with a pixel density of 296PPI. Even though the phone packs a large display, it maintains a sleek profile all thanks to its 18:9 display format. And encasing the internals of the phone is a faux metallic shell which gives it an eye-catching look.
Under the hood, the Iris 88 packs an octa-core MediaTek MT6739W processor along with the Mali-T860 GPU. The processor is backed by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The storage of the phone can be further expanded via a microSD card up to 256GB.

In the camera department, the Lava Iris 88 packs an 8MP rear camera accompanied by an LED flash. The phone also packs a 5MP front camera for all your social media ready selfies. Sadly, the phone doesn’t come with a fingerprint scanner, which we would have loved to see. Moving on, at the software front, the Iris 88 runs Star OS 5.0 based on Android 8.1.0 Oreo. And finally powering this device all up is a 3000mAh non-user removable battery. This without a doubt will be enough to get users through a day of usage on a single charge.
