For the brain, the P40 features a Samsung Exynos 9610 Octa-core processor, for a performance boost, which comes with a Mali-G72 GPU. The SoC has four 2.3 GHz Cortex A73 cores and four 1.6 Cortex A53 cores. If the report is true, then Motorola P40 will be a very good performer overall. Reports suggest that the phone will be available with three variants viz. 3GB/32GB, 4GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB RAM and storage options respectively.

Aside from the processor, the cameras on Motorola P40 is a significant upgrade over its predecessors. Renders of the phone show a dual camera set up at the back that will have a 48MP primary sensor with a 5MP depth sensor. The large 48 MP sensor puts this phone in the big leagues in terms of cameras with brands like OPPO, VIVO, Meizu etc. At the front, the punch-hole design encloses a 12MP selfie camera. The details are not confirmed yet, but the actual specs should be close to the specs mentioned here.

Overall, the Motorola P40 is going to offer appealing features with a very mainstream design. A 3500mAh battery will power the phone with support for USB-C fast charging. The availability of a fingerprint scanner is not confirmed as different renders of the phone suggest conflicting information. While most renders suggest no digit scanner at the back, a site named 91mobiles suggests that the scanner will be available with the phone. So take this info with a grain of salt!
