Nokia has officially launched their latest premium mid-tier smartphone, the Nokia 7.1. As the name suggests, the phone is the successor to last years Nokia 7. The new Nokia brings a notched display with HDR 10 compatibility, dual-camera set-up, and a premium glass body. Including these, here is everything the Nokia 7.1 has to offer for a price of $349.

The Nokia 7.1 packs a 5.84-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) IPS display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The infamous notch also makes an appearance, residing at the top center of the phone. The panel is HDR 10 complaint and comes protected with a Gorilla Glass 3. Below the display contains a rather large chin with a Nokia branding. Encasing the internals of the phone is a glass-on-glass design sandwiched by a metal frame. This not only gives the phone a premium look but also a great in-hand feeling.

Under the hood, the Nokia 7.1 packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor along with the Adreno 509 GPU. The SoC is backed by 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage. The memory of the phone can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up too 400GB.

In the camera department, the Nokia 7.1 packs a dual-camera set up made an f/1.8 12MP and an f/2.4 5MP Carl Zeis lenses. The phone also packs an f/2.0 8MP front-camera for all your selfies. And sitting just below the rear camera is a fingerprint scanner embedded into the phone’s back panel. At the software front, the Nokia 7.1 runs an almost stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo.

And finally, powering the device all up is a 3060mAh non-user removable battery. This without a doubt will be enough to get users through a day of usage on a single charge. And if the battery does run out the included fast charging capabilities will aid in getting a faster charge.

The Nokia 7.1 price in Nepal is estimated to be around Rs 42,000 ($349) for the 4GB RAM variant. The phone will come in two color option i.e, the Gloss Midnight Blue and the Gloss Steel. These two colors look absolutely gorgeous and are a bit unique! A definite Nepal launch is not yet fixed but we can say for sure the phone will make its way here.
