Paramount Electronics, the official distributor of Nokia smartphones in Nepal is gearing up to launch their latest flagship smartphone, the Nokia 8. The phone which was launched almost 2 months ago in the international market is making its way to Nepal. The Nokia 8 is expected to be priced at around Rs 60,000 and will arrive early next month. That said, here are all the things the phone offers for that price.
The Nokia 8 sports a metallic build with a 5.3 inch Quad-HD IPS display at its center. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and is edged out by a 2.5D glass. Under the hood, the phone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor backed by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The internal storage can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB but only at the expense of the dual-sim support the phone comes with.
Nokia with this phone has given high priority to the cameras! It packs a dual f/2.0 13MP Carl Zeis optics on the rear backed by OIS and laser autofocus. The Nokia 8 also has a f/2.0 13MP front camera for all your selfies. Software-wise, the phone runs an almost stock version of Android v7.1.1 Nougat. And finally powering this bad boy up is a 3090mAh non-user removable battery fostered by Quick Charge 3.0 and USB Type-C. And all this goodness comes encased in an IP54 rated body giving the phone some level of protection against dust and water.
