OPPO has recently launched two new smartphones in Nepal, the budget one being the OPPO A31. The main highlight of the OPPO A31 is its triple camera setup, along with a Mediatek Helio P35 processor. OPPO A31 price in Nepal exceeds the 25K mark even though the specs fail to justify it.

Despite the budget connotation of OPPO A31, the phone ships with a decent design with minimal gradient back and a tear drop notch display. The display measures at 6.5-inches and has a HD+ resolution of 720×1600 pixels. It uses an IPS LCD panel as the display and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
One of the unexpected specs on the OPPO A31 is the inclusion of a Helio P35 processor. The same processor comes packed with a much cheaper Honor 8A Pro, although the Honor phone doesn’t match OPPO A31 in design and cameras. OPPO A31 also features a 4GB RAM along with 128GB internal storage with microSD card support.
As for the cameras, OPPO A31 features a triple-camera setup with a 12MP main camera. Despite the lower megapixels, OPPO could have packed a decent camera with OPPO A31. This can only be confirmed in future reviews. The other two cameras include a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. As for the front camera, OPPO A31 comes with an 8MP selfie camera.
OPPO A31 comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back. It comes with Android 9 software with Color OS skin on top. OPPO A31 also fails to impress in the battery department, as it only comes with a 4,230mAh battery. This is still sufficient but pales in comparison to 5000 and 6000 mAh batteries on its competitors.
