Telecell Pvt. Ltd, the official distributor of Oppo smartphones in Nepal, has launched yet another smartphone, the Oppo F5 Youth. As the name suggests, the phone is a lite version of Oppo’s current flagship- the Oppo F5. Priced at Rs 27,990, the phone is especially targeted towards the youth demographics. The Oppo F5 Youth packs a 6inch Full HD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 402PPI. The display comes encased in a metallic shell which not only looks good but also feels quite premium in the hands. Under the hood, the phone packs an octa-core MediaTek MT6763T Helio P23 processor along with the Mali-G71MP2 GPU. Backing the core is 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. The memory capacity of the phone can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB.

Oppo is well known for their cameras-selfie cameras to be more precise. No matter what the phone, Oppo smartphones usually tend to have a superior selfie camera. The Oppo F5 Youth is no exception as it packs a f/2.0 16MP front-facing camera. The shooter is further aided by tons of software tweaks including an AI backing. The Oppo F5 Youth also has a f/2.2 13MP rear camera accompanied by a LED flash. Below the camera is a fingerprint scanner embedded into the phones back panel. Other sensors include an accelerometer, a proximity sensor, digital compass, and a gyroscope. The phone also comes with a face unlock mechanism for added security. Moving on, software-wise the phone runs ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. And finally powering the device all up is a 3200mAh non-user removable battery. This, without a doubt, will be enough to get users a full day of usage on a single charge.
The Oppo F5 Youth is not that different from the original Oppo F5. Of course, there are some corners cut like the RAM capacity, storage, and the camera resolution. Other than these, the Oppo F5 Youth looks and feels like the standard F5.
