Xiaomi has finally updated its lineup of budget android smartphones in Nepal with the introduction of the new Redmi 9A. The phone features an entry-level Mediatek processor alongside a big battery and screen. The Redmi 9A price in Nepal comes under Rs 12,000, great for budget-minded users.

It offers a basic build and design with a teardrop notch display. Redmi 9A offers a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel with an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. Despite the budget nature, the phone has good looks besides the thick bezels around the screen.
Looking at the specs for performance, Redmi 9A packs a brand new MediaTek Helio G25 processor along with the PowerVR GE8320 graphics unit. The new chipset can max out up to 2.0GHz to offer decent performance, but don’t expect to run 3D games with no hiccups. There’s also 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with the option of adding a microSD card.
At the back, Redmi 9A offers a 12MP main camera along with an LED flash. Both are packed inside a neat vertical camera bump. The notch at the top of the display houses a 5MP selfie camera.
The phone runs on Android 10 with MIUI 12 skin on top. Given the low RAM space, it might have been a better choice to use the Android Go edition to lighten the load on Redmi 9A. As for the battery, Redmi 9A has a 5,000 mAh battery capacity with a 10W fast charging option.
