Redmi, a Xiaomi sub-brand, is preparing for a grand launch of its products with the new Redmi 10X series phones as the highlight of the event. Alongside the Redmi 10X phones, the company will launch the new Redmi X series TVs along with a new RedmiBook laptop. The notebook will come with three performance modes controlled by a shortcut key.
RedmiBook leaks and features
The design of RedmiBook leans towards a slim profile with small screen bezels. RedmiBook leaks show that it will feature a 16.1-inch display with 90% screen to body ratio, a 3.26mm bezel along with 100%sRGB wide color gamut.
RedmiBook laptop series will feature AMD’s new Ryzen 4000 series chipset. As these new notebook processors feature powerful performance along with power efficiency, they are a perfect fit for light notebook devices. Moreover, the AMD processors will be accompanied by the Vega GPUs from AMD as well. In terms of performance and power saving, the new Ryzen 4000 series mobile processors run with 8-cores and 16 thread with just 15W TDP power limit. This translates to better battery life and performance when unplugged.
RedmiBook also offers different performance modes switchable by a key combo of Fn + K keys. The laptop will come with three modes which are called ‘Full Speed’, ‘Balanced’, and ‘Quiet’. The feature is similar to the majority of gaming notebooks out there and offer a mix of performance and noise balance while running the laptop. The company states that the ‘Full Speed’ mode will increase performance by 34.5%.
