Samsung is gearing to launch their latest premium mid-range smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A8+ 2018 here in Nepal. The phone which was just launched a couple of weeks back in the international market is already making its way here. The Galaxy A8+ 2018 is expected to launch in the third week of January for a price of around Rs 65,000. For that amount, here is everything the phone brings to the table.
The Samsung Galaxy A8+ 2018 packs a 6.0 inch Full HD (1080 x 2220) AMOLED display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The display is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass and is edged out by a 2.5D glass. And encasing the internals of the phone is a combination of glass and metal. Under the hood, the phone packs an octa-core Exynos 7885 processor along with the Mali-G71 GPU. The processor is backed by 4/6GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage. The memory of the phone can be expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB. And the phone sports all these goodness in an IP68 rated dust and water-resistant body, just like the Galaxy S8.
In the camera department, the Galaxy A8+ (2018) packs a f/1.7 16MP rear camera accompanied by an LED flash. To our surprise, the phone packs a dual-camera set up at the front combing a f/1.9 16MP and 8MP sensors. This definitely will up Samsung’s selfie game by a mile! And just sitting below the rear camera is an active fingerprint scanner. Unlike the S8 and the Note 8, the phone doesn’t have an awkwardly placed fingerprint sensors. It is finally in the middle! Moving on to the software side of things, the phone runs Samsung Experience based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. And finally powering the device all up is a 3500mAh non-user removable battery. This will be more than enough to get users through a day of heavy usage on a single charge.
