The Galaxy J2 has a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display that offers vibrant color saturation and high contrast ratio. It is bright, has good viewing angles and the sunlight visibility is also good. Designwise, the J2 is a lookalike of its predecessor that is renowned for its plastic construction with curved corners and chrome rim on the sides. The smartphone sports a 5MP rear camera an aperture of f/2.2 and possesses a sideloaded single LED flash. On the front, there is a 2MP camera to take of things while video calling or taking selfies but the ambient sensor is missing on this.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) is powered by a 2000mAh battery which in my opinion is not sufficient to juice the device throughout the day. That said, Samsung’s inbuilt ultra battery saving mode and data saving mode may come in handy. The J2 is dual SIM enabled smartphone that has both 4g compatibility.

The device is priced ridiculously at Rs 11,290 which is certainly not a fair deal for the consumers. With mediocre design, outdated internals, lack of fingerprint sensor and ambient light sensor the device is equipped with numerous drawbacks. Besides, the rivals smartphones like the Nokia 2, Colors S11 can easily beat this phone. They offer tons of features and provide more value for money. In my opinion, Samsung J2 4G (2017) is just a marketing gimmick attaching a 4G tag to its J2 series in order to deceive consumers with its obscure branding.
