Samsung sends press invites for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9

In the invite you can see a golden button which clearly is that of an S-Pen. This may be an indication that the S-Pen is receiving some kind of overhaul. It has been some time since the S-Pen received any major upgrades since its debut in the original Note. It is due time that the most defining feature of the Note series got an upgrade!

In terms of other changes, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 may stick to its previous mantra. Except a few tweaks, the phone will remain same as its predecessor. Changes, however, will be seen in the placements of the fingerprint scanner. Just like the S9/S9+ the sensor will move from besides the camera to below it. This was one of the major issue with the Note 8 and Samsung undoubtedly will fix it.

The camera will also get a boost in quality! The Note 9 will, now, sports a dual-camera set up with variable aperture. The sensor used, however, may be the same as the ones used on the S9/S9+. Although, a recent rumor suggests that Samsung could use their own ISOCELL Plus sensor in the phone. The bezels of the Note 9 is also expected to decease, compared to its predecessor. Again very similar to its S-series cousins!

If you haven’t figured it out by now, the Note 9 will take a lot of inspiration from the S9/S9+. This by no means is a bad thing! In fact this makes things more interesting and the Galaxy Note 9 worth buying.
