Samsung recently launched their latest entry-level tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2018) here in Nepal. The tablet is priced at Rs 15,900 and has a lot to offer. Let’s dive a bit deeper into the device and see all the things it brings to the table.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2018) packs a 7.0-inch 800 x 1280 resolution IPS display with a pixel density of 216PPI. Encasing the internals of the device is a plastic shell which gives off a sturdy look. Under the hood, the Tab A 7.0 packs a quad-core Spreadtrum SC9830 processor along with a Mali-400MP2 GPU. The processor is backed by 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The memory of the device can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 200GB. The Tab A 7.0 also supports nano-sim card and is 4G capable.
In the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2018) packs a f/2.2 5MP rear camera and a f/2.2 2MP front camera. Moving on, at the software front, the tablet runs TouchWiz UI based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. And finally, powering the device all up is a 4000mAh non-user removable battery. This coupled with the low-res display will be enough to get users through a day and a half worth of battery life on a single charge.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2018) is the revamped version of the Tab A 7.0 which was launched in 2016. However, nothing much has changed in terms of both specs and design from its predecessor. That said, for the price it is being offered at, we can’t really complain much about it. The software version and the processor, however, could have been a bit more recent. Nonetheless, the Tab A 7.0 is great for anyone looking for a tablet under Rs 16,000 here in Nepal.
