Samsung recently launched it’s new M-series smartphones in India. The phones have attracted large interest from customers as well as tech influencers. Samsung M10 and M20 are already available in India, and Samsung is launching these two phones in the Nepali market soon.
Samsung has obviously struggled at the budget smartphone space losing major market shares to the likes of Xiaomi and Huawei. Our best guess is that Samsung is jumping in the bandwagon of value-oriented budget phones with the M10 and M20 phones.
Out with the old in with the new! The Samsung M-series is possibly a substitute for its J-series smartphones. Previously, budget phones adopted a model of low-build quality and incapable processors to keep prices down. This has significantly changed as we enter 2019. Samsung M10 and M20 both have somewhat decent computing specs for the price and offer better build quality when compared to it’s older counterparts.
Samsung Galaxy M10
The Galaxy M10 comes with Samsung’s own Exynos 7870 processor and a Mali-T830 MP1 GPU. The new processor and chipset contribute to better performance overall for this phone. It comes with a maximum 3GB RAM and 32 GB internal flash storage. There is also a 2GB RAM variant at a lower cost.
The build quality has acquired a significant bump here. It comes with a V-infinity notch display with an edge-to-edge design. The back cover also is built with quality plastic and has a beautiful finish. It also sports a 6.2-inch HD+ Infinity-V display with a 19:9 aspect ratio.
It has a dual camera setup with a pair of 13 MP, f/1.9 and 5MP sensors. At the front notch, it has a 5MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. It also comes with a 3400mAh battery for power.
Samsung Galaxy M20
The Galaxy M20 follows a similar design language to M10. It has a similar display, notch, and back design, but houses a bigger 6.3-inch FULL HD+ display. The phone also has a different Exynos 7904 chipset and comes with a maximum 4GB RAM and 64 GB flash storage. The 3GB RAM variant costs lower, however, the 4GB RAM should be a better choice at this price range.
It has a dual camera setup of 13MP, f/1.9 primary sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. At its front notch, M20 has a larger 8MP front camera for selfies. It also packs a larger 5000 mAh battery that clearly beats most of the other phones battery in raw numbers. When paired with a 15W charging adapter in the box, the phone becomes a long lasting phone with a fast charging option.
Samsung Galaxy M10 and M20 Price in Nepal
Galaxy M10 and M20 are clearly the perfect replacements for Samsung’s budget lineup. With its eye-catching feature list and pricing, Samsung could become a contender at providing a feature-full phone at a budget.
Talking about the pricing of the M10 and the M20, they are yet to be confirmed. But if the past trend is of any indication, the two phones should be priced very close to the Indian costing. So that is, Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000 for the M10 and Rs 18,000 to Rs 22,000 for the M20.
