Vividtec Impex, the official distributor of UMIDIGI smartphones in Nepal, is gearing up to launch their latest mid-tier smartphone, the UMIDIGI S2 Lite. As the name implies, the phone is the lite version of the S2, UMIDIGI’s flagship. So for an expected price of around Rs 25,000, what does the phone offer? Well, let’s find out.
UMIDIGI S2 Lite Overview
The UMIDIGI S2 Lite packs a 6.0-inch HD+ TDDI display with a pixel density of 268PPI. Even though the phone packs a humongous display, it maintains a sleek profile all thanks to its 18:9 display format. And encasing the internals of the phone is a metallic shell which gives it a premium touch.
Under the hood, the S2 Lite packs a 1.5 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor along with the Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. The processor is backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage of the phone can be further expanded via a microSD card up to 256GB.

In the camera department, the UMIDIGI S2 Lite packs a dual-camera set up made by a 16MP and a 2MP lens. The phone also packs a 5MP front camera for all your social media ready selfies. And sitting just below the rear cameras is a fingerprint scanner embedded into the phone’s back panel. Moving on, at the software front, the S2 Lite runs a custom skin based on Android 7.0 Nougat. And finally powering this device all up is a large 5100mAh non-user removable battery. This without a doubt will be enough to get users through a day of usage on a single charge.
UMIDIGI S2 Lite Price in Nepal
The price of the UMIDIGI S2 Lite in Nepal is expected to be around Rs 25,000. This is a sweet deal weighing in all the features the phone has to offer. Although, the phone could surely have benefited from having a Full HD panel instead of just HD. That said, we can’t wait for the phone to be officially unveiled here in Nepal.
