As MWC 2018 event is gearing up towards next month, Xiaomi-the rising tech giant is set to launch two popular Android devices, the Redmi Note 5 and MI 6X at the event. Xiaomi hopes this product offering captivates Android enthusiasts leaving a clear-cut message to Apple to match level playing field in its recent effort to capture the US market.

There are a couple of leaked images and rumored details of both devices. They show that Xiaomi is incorporating the bezel-less trend of this year. The speculation suggests that both the device will feature a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio.These two new models are rumored to run Android-based MIUI 9. They also will incorporate facial recognition software and rear-mounted fingerprint sensors.

The leaked images of Xiaomi MI 6X in Weibo and Slashleaks showcases an iPhone X like design in a black and gold variant.The leaks suggested that Xiaomi MI 6X will sport dual camera setup, in a vertical alignment. This successor of the Mi 5X will be likely to be powered by Xiaomi’s own chipset Surge S2, an octa-core based processor. It will be integrated with a Mali G71 MP8 graphics processor, LPDDR4 RAM, and UFS 2.1 storage. The specs seem quite promising for a lag-free performance. But we still are a bit skeptical about the processor which is still not the highlighting component of Xiaomi.

The Xiaomi Note 5, which is the successor to the entry-level king- the Xaiomi Redmi Note 4, has received 3C certification from China and is going to hit the market within next month. The Note 5 is going to be equipped with dual camera setup. On the back, there will be a 16MP primary camera sensor and a 5MP secondary camera. The front camera is said to be 8MP which can be a disappointment for selfie addicts. But hey, its the sensor inside that counts!

The device is supposed to be powered by a humungous 4100 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. The rumored details claim that the device may come in two variants. The base version equipped with a Snapdragon 630 SoC, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM. And the higher-end version equipped with a Snapdragon 636 SoC, 4 GB RAM, and 64 GB internal storage. Meanwhile, Xiaomi is likely to bring the Xiaomi MI 7 within a couple of months or maybe at MWC 2018.
