Vatsal Impex, the official distributor of Xiaomi products in Nepal is gearing up to launch their latest phablet, the Xiaomi MI Max 2 here. The phone which is the successor to the original MI Max packs some new upgrades and tweaks. Let us take a closer look at what the phone brings to the table over the original.

The Xiaomi MI Max 2 packs a massive 6.44 inch Full HD IPS display with a pixel density of 342PPI. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 4 and is edged out by a 2.5D glass. The ginormous display comes encased in a metallic shell which looks and feels more premium than its predecessor. Under the hood, the phone packs an octa-core Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 processor along with the Adreno 506 GPU. The processor is backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The inbuilt memory can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB. The phone also does support dual-sim cards but only at the expense of the micro-sd card.

In the camera department, the Mi Max 2 packs a f/2.2 12MP rear camera accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash. The phone also has a f/2.0 5MP front camera for all your selfies. And just sitting below the rear camera is a fingerprint scanner which is pretty fast and accurate. Software-wise, the Max 2 runs Android 7.1.1 with Xiaomi’s own custom skin, MIUI 8 overlaid on top of it. The phone is also confirmed to get Xiaomi’s latest iteration of MIUI i.e, MIUI 9. And finally powering this device all up is a large 5300mAh non-user removable battery. The sheer size of the battery is enough to get user two to three days worth of battery life on a single charge. The phone also supports Quick Charge 3.0 and has USB Type-C connector to make charging faster and less of a hassle.
